Linen and Threads SAL 2018

I finished the February section of the Linen and Threads Mystery SAL, and love how it turned out. This section was nowhere as tedious as last month’s, because it has repeating patterns, which means I wasn’t looking at the chart every few stitches. (I still ended up frogging a few stitches here and there though. Has that ever not happened to anyone? ๐Ÿ˜‰ )

L&T SAL – February finish. Eagerly waiting for March!

I especially like the texture of the long-armed cross stitch. It feels almost embossed to the touch because of the extra thread from the longer arm.

As for knitting, I couldn’t come up with anything better than design #3 for my entrelac-featuring pullover, and when I drew up a colored picture of how I’d want to ‘break away’ the rectangles, I found I like the entrelac strip better if I incorporate two colors from the start. So I’ve frogged and restarted the strip now, and I hope I’ll have made some progress when I post next.

  1. Gorgeous sampler! You are doing great at keeping up with this one. I am still waiting on fabric. I did receive a piece, but with shrinking during the dying process, it was a little too small and I don’t want to take the chance in not having enough for framing in the end. So, another piece is ordered ๐Ÿ™‚ I will have a bit of catching up to do, but looking forward to starting this one. I am also looking forward to seeing your future progress, too ๐Ÿ™‚

    • Thank you, Ginny! I guess my pace will slow down in March because the beasties are probably not a repeating pattern. ๐Ÿ˜‰
The shrinkage is a bummer! Hope it turns out right this time. I’m sure you’ll catch up pretty fast.
